Come catch the bouquet! Or not!! Wives is a fun, moving collection of 8 individual short plays each portraying an aspect of "wifehood." The plays range from absurd to comedic to dramatic. A bride in full bridal gown takes us through the plays with amusing, surprising tales of the real origin of wedding customs – and they are not what you might think!

Alek Razdan
and A-Train

play a variety of early R&B, jazz and swing. Alek, a 15-year old Rockport saxophone virtuoso, and his father, ex-Megawatt Blues Crusher Rikki Razdan will perform on saxes and clarinet. Cape Ann's John Hyde will play keyboards and longtime Gloucester drummer- producer-writer Dave (Doc) Vincent will play percussion.

Alek's CD "Tenor 12" received a great review in Saxophone Journal

The Essex Choral Society
JohnnyO, M&M, David "Smokin' Sax" Lee on saxophone, Clint "Feelin' Lucky" Gramco on bass, Mike "Runaway Train" McKenna on drums, Dr. Dave on keyboards and accordion, and Viola Punk on violin

Writers and poets Michael March and John O'Conner have melded their lyrics and songs with an improvisational ensemble which often plays long into the night at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum

Music for an Almost Spring Night
Featuring The Terrestrials,
a Gloucester folk-rock ensemble with celestial harmonies, playing guitars, woodwinds, percussion and keyboards; and Not That Blonde, a four piece acoustic group with rich three-part harmonies, a unique style, playing a wide mix of folk, pop, & country music.

Sample some specialty brews provided by the
Cape Ann Brewing Company at intermission.
