"September: it was the most beautiful of words, he'd always felt,
evoking orange-flowers, swallows, and regret."
– Alexander Theroux

Van Gogh
Written and performed by Joseph P. Kaknes, the play transports us to Auvers-sur-Oise, France, a few days before the legendary artist took his life. There, brush in hand he teaches his final lesson, one where doomed love affairs, failed careers and a bottomless passion lead to madness. From the first brush stroke to the final signature, we bear witness to Van Gogh's tempestuous, sometimes violent, creative style.

"...the real show is watching Kaknes paint,
in a bold, reckless way that is itself
an homage to Van Gogh."
-Boston Phoenix

Vincent Ferrini:
A Life in Creation
Help us celebrate Gloucester's own Poet Laureate, Vincent Ferrini, as actors & Vincent himself perform his poetry and scenes from his plays. "Ferrini... exposes us to the truth about poetry, that its greater meaning occurs in living, in becoming the vital creative force in both our personal and social life. For this he deserves to be read and appreciated."
–Peter J. Laska, Poet and Critic

 "Seldom do art and life
join so persuasively in one person..."

– Douglas Wilson, University of Missouri

Bonfield is on tour in support of "American Baroque: Steel String Surprise," his most stylistically diverse CD to date. Best known for his seminal instrumental album, "Homecoming," Ken will feature material from American Baroque, described by one reviewer as "a beautiful journey into the real Americana..."

"Calling Ken Bonfield a guitarist is a bit
like calling Michelangelo a painter.
Expect to be dazzled by his fretwork,
charmed by his wit, & moved by his music."
–Dave Green, WUSP 105.FM
